About us

USH Magazine and Portal

USH Magazine is the region's first international cultural collective, available in both print and digital formats. It is now Argentina's only bilingual international media outlet. From the southern tip of Antarctica to the rest of Patagonia, with its origins in Ushuaia, and passing through the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, this publication speaks firsthand about its culture, from south to north, with our own unique perspective and imprint.

We are also an activist media outlet, donating our time and space to NGOs to give them a voice, but we also use the media as just that… the medium… the medium to reach, through our activism, the collective achievements that improve a community, and not just ours, but other communities around the world that are facing the same ecological, social, and cultural problems.

As a media outlet, we face risks and take responsibility for communicating for communities, not for private interests that are not always aligned with the needs of the people.

“We may have different opinions, but if we don't take action, it's the same as not having an opinion.”

In these publications, you'll browse content such as literature, music, visual arts, cultural tourism, gastronomy, personalities, economics, heritage architecture, etc. Ecological: requests, actions, monitoring of specific and general cases in the region, dissemination of NGOs and colleagues from other interesting media.

We are more than 40 contributors, including individuals and institutions, and we have readers from over 45 countries. We publish free online because we believe that culture is not only for those who can afford it.
We create identity to create a strong, committed community. We build ties with other communities around the world.

You can be part of it, especially if you care about someone besides yourself. It's not about us, it's about you.

Greetings

Dir. Alejandro A. Ursino
