Projecting athletes

Freestyle and SBX snowboard training group

Project athletes to the snowboard elite, forging them both athletically and mentally, so that they can reach their maximum level as athletes, and thus gain entry into national teams, thereby gaining access to participation in major sports competitions.

 

For 15 years, Diego Linares has been dedicated to training snowboard athletes. He was a competitor in the discipline. SBX (Snowboard cross) becoming South American champion on two occasions, having participated in three world cups, two seasons of World Cup (F1 simile, but from snowboarding) 2009/2010, being the the only South American to qualify During that period, he also participated in several seasons of European Cups, and performing the classification on behalf of Argentina for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, missing out by 10 positions, since they were ranked 35th in the world.

Professionally he had the opportunity to contribute to the sporting development of many athletes he trained, taking them to the elite of sport, both here and in Spain, were pioneers in representation Argentina in Junior World Cups with athletes under his tutelage, who also participated in European Cups and World Cups, crowning Argentine and South American champions. As well as directly contributing to the structural development of snowboarding in Argentina, since it was possible to organize in Castor Hill, in 2005, the First Argentine FASA Championship (Argentine Federation) for youth and cadet categories, which set a precedent that allowed for the continuity of federation competition and an official ranking for the youth of this sport.

The athletes who are part of this project are positioned among the best Argentinians in different disciplines and, due to their age, are in the midst of transitioning to the senior category of the sport. FIS (International Federation), so it is vitally important to achieve the planned objectives to achieve the best projection of each athlete within the sports structure, and as we all know, financial support in this sport, which does not receive funding of any kind, ends up being vital to achieve the dream of any athlete to be able to develop to the elite and have the possibility of representing the country in major competitions.
